Centre Stage on Main opened its doors in July 2005 as the brainchild of Connie Rea. Mrs. Rea wanted to develop a warm and caring atmosphere for all of her students to study various performing arts ranging from dance to musical theatre. Her students are challenged by their instructors and always leave class feeling good about themselves while knowing they are amongst “family”. Centre Stage offers a full range of creative programs catered to adults and children alike.
Connie Rea is the owner/director of Centre Stage on Main and has been teaching dance for over thirty years. She holds a B.S. in Dance Education and a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is an experienced and licensed dance educator for the state of North Carolina in grades K-12. Connie has been the director of dance and theatre for Western Alamance High School for the past fifteen years showcasing productions such as Disney’s Aida and Beauty and the Beast.
